MSc Medical Genetics Graduate
I completed my MSc in Medical Genetics at the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics in 2015–2016. During my studies, I carried out my thesis in the Department of Cytogenetics and Genomics on the “Genetic investigation of syndromes with intellectual disability, Rett syndrome and Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome”. Since 2020, I have been working at the Institute as a Laboratory Scientific Officer in the Cancer Genetics, Therapeutics & Ultrastructural Pathology Department. Studying at the CING was a truly rewarding experience that equipped me with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to develop both professionally and personally. I feel grateful to now be part of the Institute’s team. To all new students beginning their journey at the CING I would advise them to embrace every opportunity, stay curious, and enjoy this experience - it will inspire and prepare you for a meaningful and successful career.
