VACANCY FOR POST-DOCTORAL FELLOW

THE POSITION
 
The Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics is looking for a Post-Doctoral Fellow to work in the field of Biostatistics
 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 
The successful candidate will work closely with the Department of Cardiovascular Genetics and the Laboratory of Forensic Genetics and will also be providing statistical support to all the other CING Departments.  
 
 
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
 
  • PhD degree in Biostatistics or Statistics or closely related field. 
 
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
  • Previous experience in Biostatistics.
  • Demonstrated experience with setting propositions, Bayesian networks and sensitivity analysis.

VACANCY FOR LABORATORY SCIENTIFIC OFFICER

THE POSITION
 
The Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics is looking for a Laboratory Scientific Officer for its Department of Cardiovascular Genetics and the Laboratory of Forensic Genetics. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 
The successful candidate will be involved in various aspects of the activities in the Department/Laboratory including but not limited to receiving and returning items submitted to the Department/Laboratory, DNA extraction and amplification, electrophoresis of amplicons, data evaluation/reporting, skeletal element processing and research.
 
 
REQUIREMENT
  • BSc or equivalent degree in any Biological Science or closely related field.
 
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
 
  • At least 3 years of work experience in a demanding laboratory setting
  • Ability to work under pressure 
  • Team player, disciplined, trustworthy and discreet
