Haematology Services

Overview

Haematology services specialise in the diagnosis of blood disorders and management of non-oncological  haematological diseases in adults, with focus on inherited/genetic disorders. These disorders can mainly be classified into the following groups: rare red blood cell defects, bone marrow failure syndromes, immune disorders, rare bleeding-coagulation disorders, disorders of iron metabolism and haem synthesis, syndromes with genetic predisposition to rare blood disorders. Haematology services offer specialised tests and procedures to help diagnose and manage these conditions, and work closely with patients and their families to provide personalised care and education about their condition, as well as to coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcome for each individual patient.
