Portraits of Women in Mathematics in Cyprus

We are delighted to invite you to the 1st WMSC Workshop: Portraits of Women in Mathematical Sciences in Cyprus  (program) organised by the newly founded Women in Mathematical Sciences in Cyprus (WMSC) network and  hosted at the Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING) on May, 12^th 2023. This workshop joins several international celebrations of the Women in Mathematics International Day as part of the May12: Celebrating Women in Mathematics initiative. 

Our aim is to provide a platform for women scientists working in mathematical sciences in Cyprus to showcase their work and provide insights into their scientific journeys, inspired by the travelling exhibition Women of Mathematics from around the world; A gallery of Portraits which will also be hosted at CING (in the lobby) on May 10-26^th 2023. 

We expect that this  event will be an excellent opportunity to meet researchers in this area, build new collaborations and to promote diversity and inclusion in the field of mathematical sciences and showcase the multiple applications of mathematics in various fields, including health and biology.
