Norway Grants Lecture: Starting your message – track...

Inspired by our project “New Infrastructure for Treatment and Diagnosis of Patients,” funded by the Norway Grants, we are organising the Norway Grants Lectures, a series of talks by leading life science researchers from Norway.

Prof Eivind Valen (Bergen University) will present his lecture on the dynamics of translational initiation. Prof Valen has an exceptional bioinformatics research output that covers several topics of interest to research and services at the CING, including long-read sequencing, analysis of NGS data, design of genome editing, and RNA processing and expression (see here). For a short biography of the speaker and an abstract with information for his specific talk, see below.

Starting your message – tracking the dynamics of translation initiation

Prof Eivind Valen, Ph.D.
Professor – University of Bergen | Associate group leader – Sars Centre and the Centre for Molecular Medicine Norway (NCMM)

The Norway Grants Lectures are inspired by the Norway Grants 2014-2021. We propose for speakers to present their latest publications and data or choose recent topical reviews and seminal articles with a bearing on their research. Talks should provide sufficient scientific context for an interdisciplinary audience and focus on the communication of principles. Presentations should be in English with 40–60 min of combined talk and discussion time.
The project “New Infrastructure for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Patients“ is funded through the Norway Grants 2014-2021.
