  • Bioinformatics Public Lectures (9am – 1pm)

Alongside the CSMM Open Day, there will be a series of Bioinformatics lectures open to the public from 9am – 1pm. The lectures will be based on Systems Bioinformatics which is a relatively new approach on the intersection of systems biology and classical bioinformatics. It focuses on integrating information across different levels using a bottom-up approach as in systems biology with a data-driven top-down approach as in bioinformatics. The lectures provide a unique opportunity for anyone interested in this emerging new sector, as they form part of the Training School event being hosted at the Institute within the framework of the COST Action CA15120  “Open Multiscale Systems Medicine (OpenMultiMed)”, organised by the Bioinformatics European Research Area Chair of the Institute. The lectures will be given by renowned experts in the field locally and internationally.
