Education

In the field of education, Dr. Patsalis and his staff have undertaken an ongoing commitment to promote and enhance education within the field of genetics. The Department of Cytogenetics and Genomics at CING has offered education programs in collaboration with out-of-Cyprus Universities and Organizations and through various other academic educational activities. Some of the department’s educational activities include:

1. The organization of 15-day, and 6-month courses and workshops in collaboration with EUMEDIS (Euro-Mediterranean Information Society).

2. Teaching at local and International courses and workshops and presentation of lectures in Universities and scientific meetings.

3. The provision of practical training to students in collaboration with Universities abroad.

4. The organization of National and International Scientific Conferences.

5. Supervision of research projects for BSc and MSc students, either as part of their studies, or as visiting scientists.

6. Supervision of the thesis projects for Ph.D. students in collaboration with Universities abroad.

7. Supervision of postdoctoral fellows.
