JOB SUMMARY

 

The successful candidate will assist with the provision of centralized cost effective purchasing and stores services for all departments of the Institute and ensure the continuity of supplies and stock management of common consumables. 


WHAT WE ARE SEEKING

 

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or other related field;

The Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING), is an internationally recognised Centre of Excellence offering specialised services, translational research and postgraduate education in the fields of neurology, genetics, biomedical and medical sciences. We are currently seeking to recruit a Clinical Geneticist for its Clinical Genetics & Genomics Department of the Institute, based at the Institute’s premises in Nicosia, Cyprus. 

The Department, acts as a reference centre for the whole of Cyprus and provides outpatients and inpatient care, diagnosis, management and counselling on the whole spectrum of genetic diseases. It’s an official member of the European Reference Networks, ERN-ITHACA and additionally, several research projects are carried out in collaboration with other departments at CING and other hospitals or clinics. 

What you will be doing:

The suitable candidate will be part of the Clinical Genetics & Genomics Department as certified medical doctor trained in the diagnosis, treatment and management of genetic diseases. Additionally, he/she may engage in research and education. 

The successful candidate will be accountable to the Senior Clinical Geneticist/Department Head.

•    Recognized board certification in Clinical Genetics; and

The successful candidate will be accountable to the Chief Executive Officer and Medical Director and he/she will be a member of the Institute’s Scientific Council.

We are looking for a Staff Nurse to join the outpatient Neurology clinics of the Institute.

The successful candidate will assess patients’ nursing care needs, plan and provide care based on the established needs and evaluate effectiveness of care provided. He/she will also provide nursing support, care and counselling to patients, carers, healthcare staff and other professionals about multiple sclerosis (MS) at the CING Centre for Multiple Sclerosis and Related Disorders.  

 

WHAT WE ARE SEEKING

 

  • Registered Nursing Diploma, 1st level; and
  • Certificate of Registration from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Cyprus
  • Working licence from the Ministry of Health
  • Knowledge of the Greek and English languages

 

Proven previous experience and knowledge in:

  • MS related operations, treatments, and procedures
  • The general neurology field, and/or rehabilitation, and/or palliative care, at least 6 months after completion of studies
  • Nursing procedures such as intravenous injections and intravenous treatments
