The Greek Embassy in Cyprus and The Cyprus Institute of Neurology & Genetics organized a ceremony to honour Dr Georgios Papanikolaou, Inventor of the “Papanikolaou Test” more commonly known as the “Pap-Test”.

The Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics accepts Summer Placement Applications from students, for a minimum period of 1month.

A major competitive EU research grant of €11 million has been obtained by the Research Team of Prof. Philippos Patsalis of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology & Genetics, and NIPD Genetics.

The vision of the establishment of the Cyprus School of Molecular Medicine (CSMM) was realized on Monday 24th September 2012 when the School welcomed its first intake of students for the academic year 2012-13.

The Department of Biochemical Genetics announces the introduction of two new services, measurement of vitamins A and D. These new tests widen the spectrum of vitamins measured in the department which includes vitamins B12 and folate as well as total homocysteine which is closely related to the levels of vitamin B12 and folate.
