The laboratory mouse: physiological characteristics, anatomy and good practice
Kyriaki Markoullis, DVM, PhD
Molecular Virology
Lefkos Middleton Amphitheater
Wednesday, 22nd November 2017
16:00 – 17:00 hrs
Kyriaki Markoullis (Molecular Virology) will give an introduction to characteristics, anatomy and good practice in the handling and treatment of laboratory mice. Her presentation will cover, amongst other things, physiological, behavioural and anatomical aspects and good practise in working with mice, with a focus on the mouse as living organism rather than as potential disease model. The presentation will thus allow a deeper understanding of third-party research based on mouse models and will be of particular utility to those planning to conduct their own experimentation in murine models.
