The Cyprus School of Molecular Medicine will be offering a new, one day course at the Cyprus Institute of Neurology & Genetics in November 2015.
This one-day course on Translational Medicine is aimed at Doctors, at various stages in their career. The aim is to advance their knowledge on molecular mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of human diseases. The lectures will cover the basic principles of genetics, cellular and molecular biology and how these affect the translation and function of the human genome.
Participants will have the opportunity for in-depth discussion of the mechanisms involved in the molecular pathology of monogenic but also polygenic, complex diseases. In addition gene-environment interactions in the causation of disease, will be discussed in detail. Finally the emerging applications of personalized medicine and targeted therapies will also form one of the main topics of this course.
