The President of the House of Representatives visited CING

On 9 September 2011, Mr Yiannakis Omirou, accompanied by representatives of the political parties of the Parliament; Mr Averof Neophytou and Mr Sotiris Samson of Democratic Rally Party of Cyprus (DHSY), Mrs Skevi Koukouma of Progressive Party of the Working People (AKEL), Mr Demetris Syllouris of European Party Cyprus (EYROKO) and Mr Giorgos Varnavas of Movement of Social Democracy (EDEK), visited CING. During their visit at CING, they met with the Chief Executive Director of the Institute Prof Philippos Patsalis and the Director of the Laboratory of Forensic Genetics Dr Marios Cariolou. The scope of their visit was to be updated on the process and progress of the Missing Persons Program. Mr Omirou expressed his great appreciation for the hard work carried out at CING especially during the last few years regarding the Identification of Missing Persons Program.
