During the last few decades there has been an expansion in the pool of knowledge in biology from the multiple research efforts and the massive explosion of technologies in molecular biology and genetics. It is imperative that novel knowledge is used towards the better understanding of the basic biological processes, the diagnosis and pathology of diseases and eventually their therapy.
