CING 20-year anniversary

In 2010, CING celebrated its 20 years of existence and contribution to science and medicine. On this occasion, two main events were organized. The first was an “Open Day” that took place at the Institute on 5 December 2010, where visitors had the opportunity to be informed of the activities of CING, visit laboratories and attend lectures. The event was held under the auspices of Mrs Elsi Christofia, Patron of CING. The second event was the organization of a Ceremony at the Hilton Hotel on 9 December 2010, where the history and activities of CING were presented to senior Government officials and other invited guests. During the ceremony, the President and ex-Presidents of the Board of Directors of CING, the CING Founders, the Cyprus Muscular Dystrophy Association and its Founders, the Patron and ex-Patrons of CING and Prof Lefkos Middleton were honoured. The event was held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Demetris Christofias, who was the main speaker.

A short film was produced on the activities of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology & Genetics and was presented during the ceremony held at the Hilton Hotel.
