CING was awarded the 2009 Cyprus Innovation Award for the Public Sector

During a ceremony held at Hilton Hotel on 23 June 2010, the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation awarded the 2009 Cyprus Innovation Award for the Public Sector to Dr Philippos Patsalis and the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics for the development and validation of novel DNA microarray which facilitate the diagnosis of unknown forms of X-linked mental retardation and is now in the international market. This is the fourth year that the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation organize such a competition, which is supported by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, the Research Promotion Foundation and the University of Cyprus. Mr Andreas Moleskis, the Chairman of the Evaluation Committee and Mr Filios Zachariades, the President of the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation presented the award to Dr Patsalis. This is a great achievement and a great honour for our Institute, which once more demonstrates our scientific excellence.
