Accreditation
In order also to ensure quality, safety and efficiency following the European standards, the department has been participating successfully since 2004 in External Quality Assurance and Proficiency schemes for molecular diagnosis (QCMD) and since this 2013 in addition for serological tests (Instand e.V.).
As part of its endeavour to develop and provide highest level clinical laboratory services, the department was accredited in 2014 according to ISO 15189 (CYS EN ISO 15189:2007 Certificate no. L061) by the Cyprus Organization for the Promotion of Quality (CYSAB). The department continues to be accredited with ISO15189:2012 since the 14th of January 2016.
